Having spent my teenage years as a pillion on motorcycles, I had always dreamed of riding my own.

When the last of my children moved out, it was now my time to do what I wanted to do. So I went out and got my licence at the grand old age of 49. My first bike was a HD Superlow Sportster 883. I upgraded last year to a 2017 HD Softail Slim. Her name is Saorsa. Scottish Gaelic meaning for ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’ and that’s exactly how I feel when I ride.

I feel free. I feel empowered. I feel I can conquer anything and it’s the BEST therapy when you’re feeling stressed!

The biker community are one of the most genuine, charitable and loyal group of people I’ve ever met and I’m proud to be a part of it. It makes me even prouder to see more and more women going out and enjoying life on two wheels.

My motto… “What you only DREAM about, wild women DO!”
